NewsGRAPHICS & DESIGN GETS GREENER!STATE COLLEGE, Pa. –Graphics & Design, a visual communications and marketing agency, received a Media Award from the National Association for Interpretation. The award was given for the research, writing and design of the Black Moshannon State Park interpretive sign series, through a Pennsylvania Department of conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) contract. The series informs visitors about the park’s unique ecosystems and heritage. Graphics & Design accepted the award at the NAI national workshop in Wichita, Kan. “Our agency is thrilled to work with the exceptional people at DCNR and throughout the Pennsylvania park system. Their dedication to make an impact on the environment is inspiring. To be honored by NAI, among almost 100 entries, is just great. And we loved the fact that the award is made of recycled glass!” said Kitty Patterson, Graphics & Design, owner. The agency has created numerous signs and marketing materials for DCNR. Using compelling images, illustration, and calls to action, the visuals show how human and natural forces can work together to ensure a good environment in the future. The National Association for Interpretation is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the profession of heritage interpretation. The awards are judged for excellence in the delivery of natural, cultural and historical interpretive services. “Being greener is something our company has focused on in the last few years. Our work with DCNR, the Army Corps of Engineers, conservancies, engineers and builders has led us to believe that we can help promote awareness and offer some eco-friendly solutions to every client, not just the earthy ones. This is our B2G (Back to Green) initiative, and will filter into our B2B (Business to Business) projects.”
